about Lynne Sullivan

Lynne SullivanLynne was a person with great generosity of spirit and a desire to give cultural and life broadening experiences to young people.

Nothing was more fun for her than sharing with her nieces and nephews the mind blowing experience of seeing Fifth Avenue for the first time, the magic of a great theatrical experience or the fun and drama of a great skating show. Whether with friends, family or kids, her wit, animation and enthusiasm were sure to magnify the event. Learning new skills, having new experiences, creating traditions and sharing them were her highs.

Among her many activities she was an avid volunteer working tirelessly for her causes more often than not tied to her passion for improving the lives of girls and women. She was a Director on the Board of YWCA Toronto for 5 years, serving as President in 1997/1998. She worked for change in women’s status through the Ontario Committee on the Status of Women and as Treasurer of the National Action Committee on the Status of Women; raised funds to help women’s hockey and to provide for homeless women. To all her endeavors she brought a passion for the cause, her superb communication skills, her wide circle of friends and her sense of fun.

In her professional life, Lynne’s keen intellect and deep subject matter expertise made her an outstanding diversity consultant. She connected brilliantly with people from all walks of life. Whether providing diversity training to the police or conducting major projects for financial institutions she was never at a loss for the 'right words' or innovative consulting solutions. She was an inspirational mentor to peers and junior associates alike.
