Humewood Drive Housing, located west of midtown, is for single women looking for affordable long term housing. The house is a double duplex with 4 apartments, housing sixteen single women with no dependents. Each woman has her own unfurnished bedroom, but shares the common areas such as living room, dining room and kitchen with 3 other housemates.

Each tenant’s rent is geared-to-income to be no more than 30% of her gross income. Tenants are covered under the Residential Tenancies Act and must sign a lease agreeing to its terms.

Humewood Drive Housing is a cooperative living environment where tenants enhance and develop life skills that will allow them to move on to independent living. Programming helps women meet their needs and includes life skills, job search, financial planning workshops and stress management activities like crafts and gardening.
