ywca elm centre : fundraising campaign
No Place Like Elm
green, affordable, supportive
(coming in 2011)
The YWCA Elm Centre is an $80 million development made possible by public investment and private philanthropy.
With government contributing $38 million, YWCA Toronto is responsible for the balance of $42 million, through a combination of private donations and financing.
The No Place Like Elm campaign seeks to raise $15 million to Help Build Elm.
To date, supporters have contributed $13 million in private funding, including an unprecedented $5 million gift - believed to be the largest single donation on record to a social services organization in Canada's history. We are also very proud to say that to date more than 90% of our YWCA staff has contributed to this project.
