Recognizing that you need to feel confident in who is caring for your child while you take the time to get back on your feet, the YWCA Toronto has offered childcare services for our program participants for the past 35 years. Children need time for them too, that’s why the YWCA provides a safe, happy and stimulating environment for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, allowing mothers to participate in our educational and supportive programs free of worry. We develop activities that meet the specific needs and interests of children at all stages, encouraging healthy social, emotional and physical development. Children of all ages, cultures, family composition and economic means are welcome with us. parent resource support serviceThe YWCA’s childcare program offers "family-centred" support, promoting positive family relationships as part of the childcare process. With assistance from the Family Support Centre, families are offered support through parenting programs; they have access to a variety of on-site parenting services, resources and community links. Our flexible and comprehensive programs are designed to strengthen child and family relationships, with the family’s own value system at the centre of every interaction.
