Helping women learn, explore, assess and prepare for the world of work

job search café


The Job Search Café is available to all LEAP participants who want employment resources, counselling, job linking and job search leads. The computer lab is equipped with software programs such as Typing Tutor, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

  • with resume writing and resume clinic workshops
  • with targeted job search according to your individual return to work action plan
  • get resources for job search
  • access a large employer database
  • access employers and available jobs
  • test your typing skills (e,g, speed and accuracy)

who should come

  • women who are LEAP participants
  • women who are actively seeking employment opportunities

what you’ll access

  • individualized employment counselling and job search techniques
  • links with employers
  • a large employer database and job opportunities
  • job specific information through resource books and directories
  • networking opportunities, labour market research and occupational trends
  • specialized skills delivered through workshops
  • computer, internet and fax
  • testing of and improving your typing skills

program duration

Resource Café and Computer lab are open to LEAP clients on for 4 days per week (Tuesday to Friday), on a drop-in basis, from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

Access to the Resource Café and Computer Lab can be arranged by special appointment between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
