declaration on religious arbitration in family law

A number of organizations have come together in a loose coalition to raise awareness and engage in political advocacy to oppose the use of religious laws in the arbitration of family law disputes in Ontario. Among other activities, we are attempting to encourage Ontarians who support our position to write to their MPP explaining their concerns.

Because we know how busy everyone is, we have developed a prototype letter, for those who do not have the time or inclination to research the issue and write their own letter. Of course, you are welcome to modify the letter to reflect your own or your community’s situation. And, please feel free to circulate this letter in any way you that will support this work.
